Last month we hosted a conversation and book reading with author Naomi Hirahara around her new mystery novel Evergreen. The story is set in post WWII Boyle Heights and features our church and a character based on Rev. Paul Nagano! We appreciated Naomi’s sharing and research, diving into her journey and the connection of the novel to the historic Japanese American history in Los Angeles.
